WATCH TONIGHT - PBS Documentary
Beach Badge has its Fifteen Minutes
Dear Friends,
I wanted to let you know that tonight, April 22nd I will be one of several artists featured in a PBS documentary! The true focus is on our editor at a zine called, Beach Badge. Said editor, William Patrick Tandy is a writer’s writer as much as he is an editor. Growing up in New Jersey to a Coast Guard dad he knows the Jersey Shore as much as anyone could. When coupled with his friend, and documentary filmmaker, Steve Rogers, the result can only be memorable!
Watch with me in spirit tonight or at one of the replays. For those not in the NY tri-state area, you can try finding it online after it airs. You’ll see all the details below. For anyone wanting to know which piece I will be reading from tonight, I can tell you that before it was on Beach Badge, it was here on this Substack. Go check out The Summer of Sol if you dare!
For the last decade, Steve Rogers has brought, Here’s the Story to viewers like you and me. He and his team have traversed the Garden State seeking out extraordinary tales of extraordinary people. I’ll tell you that when you meet Steve, you quickly realize he too, is extraordinary. He’s a good guy. So is Patrick. Yes, the world definitely still makes them! But just as importantly, their work is good. ;-)
